Braelyn still isn't sleeping great in her crib at daycare, either. She is good for a couple short 30 mins cat naps but that is about it. They can get 1-2 hours out of her if she is in the swing. She needs to figure out how to sleep her crib soon though b/c once she becomes mobile (which Mommy is hoping isn't for a while yet) she will move to Baby 2 and they don't have swings in that room. Going to see if maybe they can move her crib spot to the back corner instead of right in front and see if less distractions help.
We are having fun with solids. It is so much fun to watch her eat! This week she tired out steamed sweet potatoes, steamed carrots, red peppers, Greek yogurt, and broccoli potato pancakes.
All were a hit but sweet potatoes were probably the favorite of the new stuff. Avocado still is the ultimate favorite though. She did ok with the Greek yogurt. I dipped pineapple in it and she sucked it off and then if I put some on a spoon in the bowl, she would sometimes pick up the spoon and put the correct way in her mouth. Most of the time she prefers to bang and play with the spoon though.

| Gibson loves that Braelyn has started solids too! |
| We have been trying out the sippy cup but I'm not sure she has quite figured it out yet. |
Thursday was the 1st day of having a day off every other week. It was Fabulous! We had such a great day! We got a few errands ran in the morning, Lindsey & Addy came over midmorning for a play date and then we hiked Green Mountain. It is so neat to see Braelyn & Addy interacting together. After they left I got Braelyn's bottles ready for the next day, started dinner, and had some more playtime with Braelyn...All before Jason got home from work! It was so nice to have the extra time with Braelyn and be able to get some things done so we could have some relaxing time in the evening and to do items crossed off the list for the weekend too. Looking forward to the next day off!![]() |

Friday was the first game of round 2 in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Wild vs Blackhawks. Jason had Braelyn wear her Blackhawks shirt to daycare....
...But this is what she was in when I picked her up from daycare! She knew just what to do in that Backhawks outfit! ;) With the Wild playing the Blackhawks there has been lots of badmouthing going back and forth between our families. Nothing wrong with a little friendly competition! :)
We had a busy fun weekend. We finished laying the 70 bags of mulch in the backyard on Friday. It looks great! Though we are still short about 20 bags so we will have to head back to Home Depot next weekend so we can completely finish. Saturday we had brunch with Nick (so excited he moved to Denver and we get to see him more often now) and then headed to Cheyenne for an early Cinco De Mayo party with the Marshalls and Hatchers. They are both moving up for Cheyenne for 18 months to work on a construction project. They both have 2 kids (Marshalls have one on the way as well) about 2 & 4 years old. It was fun to catch up with everyone and get a glimpse into the craziness of what our lives will be like in the next few years with a toddler.
Sunday we ran errands and then Steph, Garden, and Sammy came over for a play date & BBQ. The weather was awesome (80s & sunny) so after they left we went on a walk and stopped by the park. Braelyn went swinging for the first time and loved it! She had a smile the entire time! I'm so excited for summer and all the fun activities with can experience with Braelyn!!
