1st Mother's Day

I had an great 1st Mother's Day weekend!  I am truly blessed to have such an awesome daughter to be a Mom to.

Saturday morning I had a very relaxing 80 minute massage, then we hung out and went out to lunch with Zabacks.  Addy and Braelyn were so cute sitting next to each other in their highchairs eating.  Braelyn was having a bit of tough time without having a tray to set her food down though and kept dropping it on the floor.

After lunch we went back to the house, picked up Gibson and went on a new hike.  The weather was looking a little questionable with the chance of rain but we decided to risk it since they were predicting snow on Sunday so we definitely wouldn't be going then.  It drizzled on us a little bit but overall the rain held off.  We were planning on going on a 2.5 mile hike but the cut off was closed due to flooding so we ended up going on a 5.5 mile loop hike instead.  We didn't start our hike until 4:00pm so the fact that it ended up over double in length, I was getting a little worried that it might going to start to rain, the cold front would come in and/or it would start to get dark.  But luckily, it ended up being a pretty nice evening and a great family hike.  And Braelyn did great!  We will have to go back and do the hike again this summer when the weather is nicer so we can actually see the great views.

Can't forget to take a picture of Buddy Gibson!

What would be good views if the weather was better!

Playtime before bed

Braelyn gave me the best Mother's Day gift ever on Sunday and slept in until 8:00am!! It was wonderful!  Then I went and got a facial (talk about being pampered this weekend).  :)

A sleeping baby is just too cute!
We were going to go out to breakfast when I got home but the weather was cold and snowy rain mix so we decided to just make a fun breakfast at home instead.  We gave Braelyn some Greek yogurt in a bowl with a spoon and she actually did pretty well getting it into her mouth...and everywhere else as well!

Yummy!
When we were cleaning up breakfast, Braelyn was playing on her play mat and spent over 5 mins entertaining herself just by blowing raspberries. It was so funny! If she caught us looking at her she would get a huge smile on her face and then keep going. Haha! Glad she is able to entertain herself for a while.

Braelyn gave me an awesome digital picture frame preloaded with pictures of her since she was born for my desk at work for Mother's Day.  I love it!  It was the perfect thing!  She is such a thoughtful little girl!

Couldn't believe that it was snowing in May...and like a lot!  Yuck!!  We made the best of being stuck inside though.  We had lots of Braelyn playtime, I did some baking that I had been wanting to do and never had time for, and even read my book for a bit.  We also did a cute footprint butterfly craft with Braelyn.  She was pretty tolerable with us as we did it and they turned out great!  We made one for each of us to hang up at work and one of each set of grandparents. So excited to have some kid art to hang up at my desk at work too.  Now I truly am a Mom! :)

Is it May 11th or January 11th?!?

Tonight was also bath night.  Braelyn was kick, kick, kicking away in the water and sucking on her rubber ducky.  So cute! She has always liked bath time but now that she can sit up and play she likes it even more.  And it is much easier for Mommy and Daddy too!  Though, she got MAD when it was time to get out of the bath and get PJs on.  She let us know she was not done kicking and splashing!

We opened a bottle of wine for dinner from our Honeymoon to celebrate my 1st Mother's Day. It was a perfect finish to a fantatic weekend!  I love my family SO much!!
