New Friend & Park Fun!

One of my Mom's friend's son (Nick) just bought a house less than 2 miles from us and they have a son who is 3 weeks younger than Braelyn. Apparently, Nick and I were in playgroup together when we were like 3 years old. Small world! Jo (Mom's friend) was in town visiting and thought that it would be fun for us all to meet. So on Monday evening we went over for a playdate/meet & greet. We had a great time and are looking forward to getting together again soon. It will be nice to have a friend in the neighborhood with a kiddo the same age! Braelyn and Jack were so funny together - they kept talking (or more like screaming) back and forth! So cute!

Braelyn must have worked up quite an appetite during her playdate with Jack because she ate half a piece of salmon on her own on Monday night! And that was after eating lentils and carrots and mixed veggies! Hungry girl!
Loves her salmon!
She has been quite the little eating machine lately. She will put down at least two slices of watermelon for snack/dessert with ease and ate a whole banana for breakfast along with oatmeal! Glad we have such a good eater!

Must have played extra hard at daycare!

Braelyn can easily go from standing to sitting now. There is no more standing her up at her activity table and having her stay there and play for 15 mins. If she is still standing at it by the time we turn around we are doing well! She is constantly moving these days! Apparently she doesn't have time to stand at an activity table, there is too much to see in this world! :)

Now that Braelyn is on the move we have needed to come up with some activities to keep her in one place for at least a couple of minutes so we can start dinner, wash bottles, etc. Bubbles & water and leftover dishes were a big hit this week!

And we have found the leftover dish drawer...
So much fun to take everything out!

We went to the park on Friday night. Braelyn went down the slide for the first time. She wasn't sure what to think...she didn't hate it but didn't like it either. We had her sit on our lap and went down the bigger slide together and got the same reaction. Maybe next time she will warm up to the slide. She still loves to swing though!!

All worn out after a fun time at the park!
Love that she sleeps with her little butt in the air!
