Friday we woke up, had breakfast in the room, packed our picnic lunch, and set off for our day of hiking. As quickly as it appeared, the town disappeared. We didn't drive for long before we were in
beautiful middle of nowhere! And the wildflowers were in full swing. The pictures do no even come close to doing this place justice! It was GORGEOUS!

| Not a bad way to start a Friday morning! |
The plan was to drive to Marble
where the marble for Washington Monument came from but we got about 1-1/2 hours into the drive and there was a huge sign that said experienced 4x4 drivers and vehicles only. So we parked and hiked partway instead. There is no way Jason's jeep would have made it. But it was an amazing hike!! Braelyn loved the hiking carrier and was smiling & talking the entire hike. We hardly saw anyone the whole time. It was awesome!

| LOVE this picture! LOVE this place! |
After our picnic, we drove halfway back to town and stopped to do another hike. Again we hardly saw anyone. Another amazing hike! We totally fell in love with this place!

We went into town for pizza at Secret Stash (Amazing) for dinner. All the hiking & mountain air must have really worn Braelyn out because she fell asleep in the Boba carrier before 7:00pm and slept though dinner. The hiking wore Jason and I out as well and we were in bed by 9:30pm! It was such an awesome day though! I love Colorado and I love my family!!
