Stomach Flu :(

Sunday we did Braelyn's 1 year pictures.  She did great! Jason made a smash cake, that turned out great.  And once again she went to town with it(no wonder this child thinks every dessert is for her).  I can't wait to see them!

After pictures we went and bought Braelyn a wagon that we found on Craigslist b/c she can't go trick-or-treating on Halloween without a wagon and her parents are suckers! :)  After her nap we went on a walk to test it out. She loved it!!

Monday was Braelyn's 1st day back at daycare after 2 weeks!!  We were a little worried how she would do but she transitioned right back into the swing of things. When I picked her up on Monday afternoon her teacher told me how they had a bad case of the stomach flu last week and 6 kids were out sick but they had disinfected everything and were hoping for a better week this week.
But unfortunately someone or something must have still had the virus.  Jason picked up Braelyn on Tuesday and she threw up on the way home, all over her carseat!  Poor thing!!  She got sick 3 more times that night.  It was heartbreaking to see her like that. We of course kept her home from daycare on Wednesday but she was doing much better when she woke up and was back to her normal self by Wednesday afternoon and didn't get sick again.  Thank goodness it was short lived!


Wednesday afternoon was Braelyn's 1 year Dr appointment.  The Dr said she is looking great and right on track for everything.  She still is a peanut and in the 10% for weight and height but 80% for her head! She was fussing a bit and getting frustrated that we couldn't figure out what she wanted.  The Dr said that from the sounds of it we might be be the lucky ones that experience tantrums early...yeah?!?!  Since she hasn't been sick since Tuesday night they were able to give her all the 1 year shots.  She wasn't a fan but was a champ and calmed down shortly after they were done.  So proud of our little Sweets!!

Back to eating normal by Wednesday night!

I was eating a piece of string cheese and Braelyn reached for it. I gave her a piece though knew she wasn't going to eat it but surprisingly she ate the entire thing!!  She was either starved from not really eating for the last 24 hours or she has had a change of heart. Either way I'll take it! :)
