Pumpkin Patch with Cousins

Wednesday Mema & Gpa headed up to Breck and Braelyn went to daycare for the only day this week.  Wednesday early evening we did our family outdoor pictures so we could take advantage of the fall colors. (we will do the whole Lindseth family pictures at Thanksgiving).  On our way home from pictures my Dad called to give us the sad news that my Grandma had passed away.  She was 96 years old and died peaceful but it was still hard.  She was my first grandparent I lost.  I am very blessed to have all 4 of my grandparents for over 30 years. The funeral was going to be sometime the next week so we were able to keep our plans of going to Chicago and planned to just go to MN from Chicago instead of going back to Denver.

On Thursday morning we flew to Chicago for the weekend.  I had to get a full pat down at security, which took forever.  We were one of the last ones on the plane (even though we got to the airport almost 2 hours early!) so got stuck each sitting in the middle and not by each other.  Braelyn slept for the first half of the flight but then was wanting to move around.  Luckily, the snacks kept her occupied for the most part but the middle seat really doesn't allow for enough room for a lap baby. Thinking this might be the last trip with Braelyn on my lap. Thursday afternoon we hung out at Grandma & Grandpa's and had fun playing with our cousins!

On Thursday evening Braelyn was playing in the family room with Jillian when Kevin came over after work.  He went over to say hi to her and she got excited, then got a confused look and just stared at Kevin.  She knew something was up but couldn't figure it out...you look like my Daddy but you aren't my Daddy!  It was pretty funny. Then Jason and Kevin were both in the kitchen together and she just stared back and forth between the two of them. She was much more willing to go to Kevin than anyone else though.

Friday we went to the pumpkin patch with our cousins, Madeline and Jillian, and Grandma, Great-Grandma Mathey, Aunt Julia, Aunt Kim, Jeanann and Abby.  It was a ton of fun!  Though it was only about 50 degrees and pretty windy.

 Great Grandma Mathey, Daddy, Braelyn, & Mommy went inside to warm up while everyone else did the corn maze.  After the corn maze we went on a hay ride.  That was a lot of fun too!

We all went out for pizza at Daddy's favorite place for dinner and then went back to Kevin & Kim's to play for a bit before bed.  Brealyn thought Maddie & Jillian's toys were pretty neat!
