4th of July Weekend!

We had such a Great 4th of July weekend!  The weather was perfect and I Loved the extra family time!!

Friday, we started out our 4th of July celebrations at brunch with Nick and his cousin.  Braelyn was a superstar and ended up eating everything we brought for her plus we ordered her a scrambled egg that she devoured as well. She is getting to be quite the little eater!
Then Jason, Braelyn, and I headed to the Cherry Creek Arts Festival.  It was suppose to be a pretty hot day but luckily the clouds came in, which kept the temperature much more comfortable.  There was some pretty cool art and a lot of stuff that neither one of us knew what anyone would do with.  After the Arts Festival we headed downtown for 2 for 1 happy hour at McLoughlin's.  It was one of our favs when we lived downtown and where took wedding pics.  Definitely made us miss living downtown a little!

Happy Hour on the 4th with Mommy & Daddy!
We headed home, played until dinner (Braelyn loved waving her flag) and afterwards Braelyn went right bed - she was a tired little girl.  Jason and I enjoyed a bottle of Chardonnay from our honeymoon on the patio and were able to watch the fireworks from the backyard.  It so nice that Braelyn could go to bed on time and we could still see fireworks.  Win-win for all! :)

HAPPY 4th of JULY!

Saturday we got up and headed to Breckenridge. We went on an awesome hike in the morning.  At the top the views were amazing and there were 3 gorgeous waterfalls!  Braelyn was memorized - it was tough to get her to look for pictures she just stared at the water.

Little water and snack break

Once we got back from the hike we had a quick lunch at the condo and headed to the pool.  Unfortunately, they don't heat the pool so it was a little chilly.  Jason stayed in for a whole 2 mins but Braelyn and I splashed around for about 10 mins before we had enough. Bummed that we didn't get more pool time but Braelyn at least enjoyed the little bit.
Such a cute little Minnie in her swimsuit cover up!
Braelyn took a great afternoon nap - all the hiking and swimming must have wore her out. And Jason and I just relaxed at the condo.  It was so nice to just be able to sit outside and read my book without feeling guilty about the chores I should be doing.
After Braelyn's nap we walked around the Breckenridge Arts Festival.  This one had much more items that some one would realistically purchase. And then tried out a new Italian restaurant for dinner. We got a small two person table which made it a little tight with Braelyn eating as well. She kept trying to grab anything and everything.  We gave her some of our lasagna and spaghetti and she loved it! She ate pretty good for a while and then started to get fussy.  When she would start to fuss we would give her a blueberry and that would clam her down for a little bit.  It turned into the joke at dinner...Blueberry, now! Going out to dinner is definitely a different experience with kiddos.  Relaxing is not a word I would use to describe it...though we still had fun! :)

LOVED the spaghetti & lasagna
Sunday we had a pretty lazy day.  We went to Babies R Us in the afternoon to look at convertible car seats since there were having a sale, made some food for Braelyn, and then Braelyn got to hang out in her pool since we didn't get much pool time in at Breckenridge.

My happy smiley girl

Got in some pool time after all!

It is going to be tough going back to work on Monday after such an awesome weekend with Jason and Braelyn (and Gibson).  I love my perfect little family!!
