Braelyn was just getting over her 2nd cold and sadly got another one. We were getting concerned since she had had a cough for almost 3 weeks that wasn't getting better and then on Wednesday she started to have a runny nose again. Daycare called on Thursday and said that they were kinda concerned about her cough since it was getting worse. I called the Dr. and they said that it since Braelyn's nose was runny again that she was probably starting another cold. Apparently, a runny nose lasts 1-2 weeks and a cough typically lasted 2-3 weeks, so her cough from her last cold overlapped with this new one. Poor girl! The Dr. said we didn't need to come in unless the cough got much worse, she got a fever, or wasn't eating or sleeping. Thursday evening she was a little less smiley than normal but wasn't too bad and slept normal. On Friday daycare called again and said that they were concerned about her cough and she wasn't sleeping b/c she was just coughing. I of course felt like a horrible Mom that sent her sick kid to daycare but I swear she wasn't like that at home! I called the Dr and got an appt. When I was leaving work to go get her for the Dr appt, daycare called again and said that she had a fever of 100.7 and the policy is 100.6 or above the child needs to be picked up. When we got to the Dr. her temp was 99.5 so I'm thinking it was just a high reading at daycare. And he confirmed that yes, she had a cold. Her lungs sounded find so there was not a whole lot we could do but wait it out. It's so heartbreaking to hear her little cough but she is one tough cookie!

Bobbo came into town for a visit and some skiing. He got in Thursday evening. Jason and Bobbo headed up to the mountains Friday morning and then Braelyn and I got a ride with Colie after her Dr appointment Friday afternoon. The boys skied during the day on Saturday and Sunday and Braelyn and I got to hang out just the two of us! It was SO nice to be up in Breckenridge and not have anything to do but hang out with Baby Girl!

On Saturday we met the boys on the mountain for lunch and then Braelyn took her first gondola ride down the mountain and bus back to the condo. She slept the whole ride.

The mountain air must have done her cold/cough some good because she super giggly and smiley on Sunday. You would have never known she was sick. It was SO fun to hear her laugh! She hadn't done it again since the very first time. A baby's laugh is truly the best sound in the world!! :)

It was such a fun weekend with Bobbo! Hopefully, we can see him again soon (and Jennifer and Erin too)!
Braelyn is aware of everything now. We put her in the escersaucer on Sunday when we got home and she started grabbing at things and hitting the buttons to turn the music and lights on. Before when we put her in it she would just sit there. I know I say this all the time but its just So cool to see her learning & developing!
AND she can sit up on her own for short periods of time!! Definietly can't take your eye off of her though or she will topple over. Mommy is so proud of her but sad too that my little baby is growing up!
