The Becker Adventure: 21 weeks

Weight 13 lbs 3 oz (3/6) - gained 1 lbs in 3 weeks!

Eating 4 oz bottle every 2.5-3 hours during the day, nursing 2-3 time after work before bed, 4-5 hours at night

Sleeping: A couple 30-45 min naps and one longer 1-2 hour nap during the day. She is very much on a schedule at night. Bedtime is 8:00pm, gets up sometime between 1:00am -2:00am to eat, and wakes up or we wake her between 5:00am-5:30am to eat again before Mommy goes to work. She has been very consistent at night this week

Typical Day: Wakes up at 1:00/2:00am to eat, wake up at 5:00am to eat, sometime back to sleep until 6:15am, get ready for daycare, drop off at daycare at 7:00am, 4 bottles and 3-4 naps at daycare, Mommy picks up around 4:30pm, playtime at home, 7:30 pm change into PJs, story time and in bed for the night at 8:00pm.

Development: Roll from back to tummy (left side only), reaching for things off to the side, will hold toys up and look at them and then put them into her mouth, so aware and observant - constantly learning and taking everything in.

We went to Moms group on Thursday this week to check her weight. Braelyn gained 1 lbs in 3 weeks - that is about 5 oz a week which is right on track! :) It was also fun to see our friends we haven't seen in a while!
Braelyn rolled from her back to her tummy this week!! We were at Moms group and she was laying on the floor and just did it. And then did it again and again! It was so exciting (and once again unexpected)! She only rolls to the left side this way too, wonder if she is going to be left handed? Go Braelyn!
She has been sleeping very consistently this week, only getting up one time to eat sometime between 1:00am and 2:00am. The sound machine helps a ton! Now that she can roll from her back to her tummy that means no more being swaddled at night. We were really worried how she would sleep not being swaddled but she did great! It didn't seem to change much at all...Thank goodness!

Everyone was still in town on Monday for Braelyn's baptism so she didn't go to daycare and then I took Thursday off to go to Moms group, and my Mom watched her on Friday so she could get in her Braelyn time since we weren't going up to the mountains with them for the weekend. So Braelyn only went to daycare 2 days this week. Her teachers said that she was pretty needy those 2 days - she must have gotten use to all the cuddles and snuggles over the weekend with the family and wasn't a fan of not being the center of attention. :)

Braelyn seems to have a big development leap this week - with the rolling over and the reaching and grabbing at things to the side, she just seems So much more aware of her surroundings and is much more interactive as well. It's so much fun! I think that this may be my favorite age so far. You can just see her learning new things every day!

No more swaddle!

Its tough being a baby!

It had been quite a while since we went out to brunch so on Sunday we went out to Snooze, our favorite brunch spot. Then Jason's Uncle Jay and Aunt Rhonda came over for the afternoon - they were in town from California for a wedding. It was such a nice day outside! We were able to sit on the patio and Mommy actually got sunburned! Braelyn did great wearing her sun hat, she didn't try to take it off once! It was so fun catching up with Jay and Rhonda!!
