40 Week Doctor Appointment

I had my 40 week Dr appointment yesterday.  All and all it went well.  We started with an ultrasound to check Baby B's movements, ability to practice breathing, and fluid levels.  Everything looked great and Baby B pasted with flying colors. The heart rate was 161. We were able to see the heart and diagram moving and saw that Baby B has a little fuzz on their head and has their hand tucked up next to their face. We met with Dr. Hwang.  I have had some movement since the last check, 1-1/2cm dilated, 50% enfaced, and softened but Baby B is still pretty high.  Since Baby B was still high it was not an option to sweep the membranes.  And because Baby B is already 3 days late we had to schedule an induction for next week.  The longest they will let us go before inducing is 41-1/2 weeks or 10 days late.  We were able to push it until Wednesday night so have an induction scheduled for 8:30pm on Wednesday October 16th.  I am really hoping that Baby B decides to come on their own before that, but no matter what a week from today we will have a baby! :-)
