Discovering Sand and Sadly the End of Vacation

Sadly today is our last day of vacation.  It always amazing me not matter how long vacation is, it is never long enough!  We had such an awesome time though. It was perfect!!

We got up, packed up most of our stuff, and Braelyn opened her Easter gift from Mema & Gpa.  She was of course more interested in the tag than anything else.

Then we hit the pool for one more round of swimming.

Gotta get my good side Mom!

We didn't do any family beach pictures when we were at the beach the frist time so we went back for some last minute pictures.

Braelyn wasn't sure what to think when she was sitting in the sand.  She grabbed a handful of it, looked at it, grabbed some some more, looked at it again, and then tried to put it in her mouth.  We stopped her a few time but Daddy wasn't fast enough the last time.  She got a little in her mouth, which she wasn't a big fan of!  It is so cute to watch her discover new things though. She concentrates so hard and you can just see her little brain working away trying to figure it all out.

After the pictures at the beach, we went back to the house, showered, had lunch, finished packing, and Jason, Braelyn and I headed to the airport.
Thanks Gpa & Mema for an awesome vacation!
Unfortunately, Braelyn was not the best passenger on the flight back to Denver.  She was pretty fussy and seemed to want to nurse quite often.  Plus, they kept telling us that there may be turbulence so we had to stay buckled up most of the time and couldn't move around with her.  I think she was just overly tired and was fighting it, but it made for a long 4 hour flight.
Then they ended up losing our bag with her pack 'n play & bumbo in it so by the time we dealt with reporting it, it was close to 9:00pm before we were heading home. It was a very long travel day but a great vacation!  (And luckily they called us on Monday afternoon and said they found our bag! Thank goodness!!)
