9 weeks - Little Miss Predicable

Weight: 10 lbs-11 oz (as of 12/11)

Eating: Eating every 2 hours during the day, 6 hours then 4 hours at night

Sleeping: Constantly 6 hours at night, 1 hour naps (if we are lucky) during the day

Typical Day: Up around 8:00am for the day, awake for about an hour, nap for an hour, awake for a couple hours, short nap, awake most of the afternoon, short nap early evening, goes to sleep around 8:00pm, we all go up to bed around 10:00pm, up around 4:00am, and then around 8:00am for the day.

Has been very into sucking on our hand this week!

You have been little Miss. Predicable this week.  You are like clockwork...Every 2 hours you need to eat, an hour after you eat you get fussy, need your pacifier and within 5-10 mins you are sleeping; at night you get up after 6 hours to eat and then again after 4.  It is crazy how exact you have been with your little schedule.

You had another week of poor weight gain (only gained 1 oz this week). :-/ We are going to the Dr. this afternoon for your 2 month appointment so will ask the Dr. about it.  But since you are eating every two hours during the day, aren't fussy, and have the right number of dirty diapers we decided not to worry until after we talk to the Dr.  They reminded us at Moms group on Thursday that doing a weigh in every week is a good way to check in, it also can cause unnecessary worry as well and babies can have weeks of lots of growth and then weeks of slower growth. So hopefully you are tracking on the growth charts at the Dr. today. And we will have nothing to worry about.

You have been smiling so much more this week!  I have even been able to get it on camera a few times.  Daddy and I love that smile!  It's so much fun trying to get you to smile at us.

You also discovered your tongue this week.  It is so funny to watch you chew and play with your tongue.  I don't think you have figured out it is attached to you yet.

On Wednesday Braelyn, Mommy, Lindsey, and Addy went to a play group at one of Lindsey's friends sister's house.  There were about 10 kids there, most of who were right around 1 years old.  It was fun to see what our girls will be doing in a year from now but amazing at how much bigger the 1 year olds were. It was also fun to talk to some more experienced Moms.

On Saturday (12/14) we had Lindsey, Rob, & Addy, and Stephanie, Garden, & Sam (our weekly play group plus husbands) over to our house. It was so much fun to have everyone together.  At one point all the Dads were hanging out in the kitchen with the babies and us girls were hanging out at the table.  It was so cute to see the Dads with the kids and nice to have a break to just catch up with the girls.  We all had a great time and will definitely have to get everyone together again soon.  It's so fun to have a group of friends with kids the same age.

On Sunday (12/15) we went over to Woody & Dees' house for brunch for Dees birthday.  It was fun to see that group again and of course everyone loved meeting Braelyn.  Though she was a little fussy so spent most of the time cuddling with Mommy and Daddy. Jason wanted some Daddy Daughter time so him and Braelyn went to the mall Sunday afternoon to get Mommy's Christmas present and I went to a friends art show.  Sounded like Braelyn and Daddy had a great time!
