Braelyn did very well at her 2 month doctor visit today, especially since she had to get 3 shots! Overall Dr. Nagel said that she looks great! He didn't have any concerns.

We talked about her decrease in weight gain lately and he said that he wasn't concerned right now. She had dropped a little on the chart but she looks good and as long as she isn't overly fussy or not having enough dirty and wet diapers he said not to worry.
We asked about her clogged tear duct and the increase amount of gunk. Dr. Nagel said that its due probably due to the winter dry conditions and we could use a humidifier and saline drops if we wanted, and to be sure to wipe it clean so it doesn't become infected or she could get pink eye.
We discussed Braelyn's frist flight to Chicago for Christmas and her starting daycare after the New Year. The biggest thing he said was to make sure we keep up on the hand washing, especially over Christmas with all the family wanting to hold her.
Finally, we asked about the fact that she has been having green poopy diapers since Friday and has been somewhat more fussy. He said that she probably has a tummy bug virus and as long as she doesn't develop a fever, becomes lethargic, or unconsolable we just have to let it work itself out. Poor baby!
It was a good thing that Jason was there when it came time for the shots! Braelyn turned bright red and let out this heartbreaking cry that I had never heard before. I of course starting crying too. She luckily calmed down pretty quickly and was asleep by the time we got to the car. So proud of my brave little girl.
Hopefully she can kick this stomach bug before we head to Chicago, so she can be back to her normal self when she meets all the Beckers!
