Spit up all over the 'Thankful for Mommy'

Typical Day: Up at 8:00am for the day, awake for a couple hours in the morning, awake for a couple of hours in the afternoon and early evening, tends to be more fussy early evening, goes to sleep around 8:00pm, we all go up to bed around 10:00pm, up around 2:30am, up around 5:30am
Development: Tracking objects with eyes, doing really well with tummy time, making more cooing nosies, found your hand.

Braelyn had some long sleeping periods this week!  On Monday night (11/18) she slept 7 hours straight after her bath, unfortuarely it was from 7:00pm-2:00am.  On Tuesday (11/19) she slept 8.5 hours from 7:30pm-4:00am! And then Wednesday night (11/20) she fell alseep at 8:45pm and didn't get up until 4:45am! (tried to feed her at 10:00pm both Tuesday and Wednesday but she wouldn't wake up) Mommy and Daddy were not complaining about being able to catch up on some sleep.  Well, Braelyn though that 3 nights of 7+ hours was enough because on Thursday night (11/21) she was up every 2 hours!  Ugg!  Luckily, after that she went back to getting up every 4 hours.  While the 6 hours was nice, I'll take 4 hours over 2 any day! Plus going 7+ hours between feedings was a little painful for me!

Braelyn has been fighting sleep, especially around 4:30pm every day. It's like clockwork, don't even need to look at the clock.  Just know what time it is if Braelyn is fussy.  Once she swaddled, shhhed, and bounced for a while (she loves LOTS of movement) she goes to sleep.  It is amazing how she can go from complete break down to sleeping.

We did some fun things this week: We went out to lunch on Tuesday with my coworker Michelle and her son, Cray (who is 1 month older than Braelyn), learned about pediatric dental care at Mom's Group on Wednesday, hosted play group at our house on Thursday, and went over to Kyle & Kristin's for dinner on Saturday. And Today (11/25) we went over to Nicole and Ruby's for a play date in the afternoon and Crystal stopped by for a visit this evening.

Having fun with tummy time!
Braelyn is doing really well with tummy time.  She continues to amaze and make Mommy proud with how strong she is getting!

Wide eyed and beautiful

Excited to host play group!

Having fun with our friends!
Worn out after play group!

We tried the pacifier for the first time this week.  She took it right away and it calms her down pretty quickly.  She really hasn't needed it before now as we have been able to soothe her by just shhing and swaddling.  She has been comfort sucking more lately so it is nice to have the pacifier to help with that.  We would like for her not to need it all the time, so we are trying to be selective with when we use it and not just give it to her every time she starts to cry.

Look pretty cute with my pacifier

She loves to kick and hang out on her back and look around.  Mommy and Daddy like to hang out in bed with her in the mornings and watch her kick away.  And she loves her play mat.
Braelyn also loves getting her diaper changed.  She'll be all upset and as soon as we put her on her changing table, she calms right down!

Fun on the play may

Daddy dressed Braelyn today.
Of course he chooses the
"Daddy love me" shirt! :)
Sorry Daddy, Braelyn gets as excited
about Home Depot as Mommy

Sleepy cuddles with Kristin

Doing so well with tummy time in

have 2 under 2 come March!

Jason gave Braelyn her first a bottle today!  I was a little worried about how it was going to go.  There were a few Moms at Mom's Group whose babies had a hard time taking a bottle. But Braelyn did great!  She took the bottle like a champ and Jason enjoyed being able to feed her.  I stayed in the other room so I wouldn't distract her with my voice or smell - advice we got from some other Moms.  Jason only gave her 2 oz since we weren't sure how it was going to go, so I nursed her for a bit afterwards as well. Such a relief that the bottle went well.

Proud Daddy after successfully
giving Braelyn her 1st bottle! :)
