34 Weeks

How far along? 34 weeks
Baby is the size of a...Butternut Squash (17.5" long & 5.5 lbs)
Total weight gain? 27.5 lbs
Symptoms? Mid & lower back pain more often than not, especially in the evening, but it is still tolerable most of the time and stretching or massage helps. I have been getting tried earlier as well.
Contractions? Definitely having Braxton Hicks. My Mom she said she had a ton of them as well when she was pregnant with me.
Food cravings? Still loving fruit & won't turn down sweets
Sleeping? Still sleeping through the night!
Belly button popped? Staying the same...thinking (and hoping) that is the way it will stay.
Feeling any movement? Baby B has been a squirmy wormy this week. Still just the rolling wavy like movements though, luckily no uncomfortable/painful jabs or kicks.
Swelling? Nope..still able to wear my rings no problem!
Best moment this week? Getting things crossed off the list.
Working out? Missing my normal workouts this week...too much going on.  But did get in some good walks with Gibo.
This Week's To Do? 34 week Dr. appointment, Enjoy the long Labor Day weekend

We asked friends, neighbors, and co-workers who they saw for a pediatrician and everyone went to one of two practices and for the most part all see the same Dr at each practice.  We decided to check out both of the practices and choose from there. On Thursday we had our first pediatrician "interview."  It went well.  We both liked the doctor and he spent time answering all of our questions.  He was a different (and newer) doctor in the practice than our friends go to since he is at the office closer to our house more often.  But we are going to meet with the doctor that was recommended to us in the practice as well after Labor Day.  We will then meet with the doctor at the other practice the middle of September, make our decision and cross that item off our list!

We choose a newborn photographer this week and we get maternity pictures as well with the package. We got those schedule for the Sunday after Labor Day weekend at Red Rocks. Now I need to figure out what to wear.

I took an Infant & Child CPR & Safety class on Saturday morning. It was very informative and I learned a lot. Just hope that I don't have to ever use it!

As I was making our To Do list for the weekend and it didn't include many Baby B To Dos, I realized that we are getting very close to being ready for Baby B!  I had very mixed emotions about it...it has been so much fun getting everything ready I'm not sure I'm ready to be ready!?! What are we going to to with the next 6 week?!? Did we make the right choices!?! (Jason stopped me here because "we aren't rethinking everything!")  I'm sure can and will find things to do, but all and all we are pretty much ready!  Exciting and scary all at the same time!

I also decided that I need to stop reading about pregnancy, I think I have that one figured out, could read a little bit more on labor & delivery, but we really need to start reading up on what is going to happen once little Baby B makes their appearance to the world!  A coworker said it perfectly...we read every book and sign up for every weekly update email under the sun for the 9 months we are pregnant but forget about reading up on anything for the 18 years after birth! So true!
