26 Weeks

How far along? 26 weeks
Baby is the size of a...Head of lettuce, eggplant (14" long & 2 lbs)
Total weight gain? 19.5 lbs
Symptoms? Have had a few charley horses at night again...they are painful!  One symptom that I have not had yet is being overly hot.  The heat doesn't bother me any more than normal and I still tend to be cold over hot.  No complains about that, especially since it was over 90 all week last week.
Food cravings? Still loving fruit & won't turn down sweets
Missing anything? Not really...though very much looking forward to wine and sushi again when Baby B comes.
Sleeping? No complaints...still sleeping through the night.
Belly button popped? The top of the belly button is starting to stick out a little bit.
Feeling any movement? Yep, getting stronger.  You can see my belly move with the bigger kicks
Swelling? Haven't noticed any
Emotions? In check most of the time, though I still think I could cry on command
Best moment this week? Got the nursery stuff ordered and guest room painted
Working out? Back to the normal routine
This Week's To Do? Enjoy our Chicago trip for the long Holiday weekend with Jason's family and Becker baby shower on Saturday!

Tuesday night we got the nursery stuff (sheets, crib skirt, changing pad cover, etc) and the fabric for the curtains ordered!!  The nursery stuff should ship in about 4 weeks.  And Jason's Grandma generously agreed to make us our curtains.  I can't wait to put it all together.

On Saturday was our friend Ashley's baby shower in Colorado Springs - they are 6-1/2 weeks ahead of us. It was a great shower and fun to see all the things she got. One of the games we played was to see who could drink 3oz out of a baby bottle the fastest.  It is tough to get anything out of those nipples!  All of our tongues and jaws were getting sore and cramping.  I still had about 1.5oz left when the first person finished!

The "Blue Room" is no longer!  We had it painted on Saturday and moved the guest bed into the room on Sunday.  So since the guest room has moved into the "blue room" we now have a "guest room" and a "nursery"!  Crazy!  Still need to pick out the paint colors for the nursery and get that painted, but its coming together.

Baby B movements have continued to get stronger, you can see my belly move with the big kicks.  Baby B is still most active during the day and after meals. There is not much movement at all around bed time and I haven't been woken up by anything either.  Jason doesn't like that since B is less active when Jason is around at night than when I am at work. But hopefully Baby B's sleep patterns continues when they are born!  I can handle B being up and active during the day and sleeping at night!! Over the weekend I didn't feel as much movement as I normally do though.  I was starting to get nervous by Sunday afternoon but Baby B gave some bigger kicks on Sunday night, not many, but at least a couple to put my mind a little more at ease.  Lucky Monday morning at work Baby B seems to be back to normal activity.  Thank goodness!  It is amazing a few weeks ago I couldn't feel anything and now I get super nervous if I don't!

I am so excited to go to Chicago on Wednesday for the long Holiday weekend.  It will be great to see and catch up with Jason's family, see our nieces, and we have the Becker baby shower on Saturday. Only 2 days of work and then Chicago...it is going to be a great week!! :)
