I had a great weekend back in Minnesota, but it was of course not long enough. Jason stayed in Colorado to continue to train for his big bike ride in July. I got in on Friday early evening and we just hung out at the house and tried to come up with what Baby B will call my parents. My Dad's parents are Grandma and Grandpa and my Mom's parents are Nana and Papa, and that is what they are called by all of their grandkids. It was always nice growing up not having to distinguish which grandparent we were talking about. Plus, I still am lucky enough to have all 4 of my grandparents around so there is already a Grandma/Grandpa and Nana/Papa on our side. And since Bob and Bev are already "Grandma & Grandpa" to Maddie and Jillian we decided my parents need to come up with what they should be called. And it has to be a whole family decision since whatever we choose, Colie and Krista's kids one day will call them that as well. We tossed a few ideas out there and have some good options but don't think we are fully set on anything quite yet. Anyone got any good suggestions?
Saturday morning I met up with my friend Julie who was my mentor when I intern with Mortenson in Minneapolis. It was great catch up and she just had a baby boy 4 weeks ago. Robbie was wide awake all during breakfast but didn't make a peep! Such a good baby. Mom, Colie, and Krista were working away on shower planning, so I tried to avoid the house as much as possible on Saturday so I wouldn't get in their way.
I met up with Lisa late Saturday afternoon and finally met Brody. He is such a little cutie and will definitely be a ladies man! It was so fun playing with Brody and having Lisa go through all the must have baby stuff. I don't think I will ever get over how much stuff a baby needs and how much they take over the house.
Saturday night we went out to dinner with Grandpa. He is SO excited to be a "Great" Great-Grandpa! He was disappointed that he wasn't invited to the baby shower on Sunday. While I was working on a hospital renovation and addition a few years ago, Grandpa came to visit and got a tour. That is the hospital where we are going to deliver at, so he was very excited to hear that he had actual been to the place that we were going to deliver and that I built it. I had one of the ultrasound pictures on my phone and he was able to hold the phone super close and make out Baby B. He was overjoyed that he could actually see B! It was so cool!

Sunday was the baby shower, which was absolutely amazing! My Mom and sisters really out did themselves! And then I took the first flight out Monday morning to head back to Denver. It was a great weekend but flew by way too fast!
