24 Weeks

How far along? 24 weeks
Baby is the size of a...Ear of corn, footlong sub, cantaloupe
Total weight gain? 16 lbs...have been consistently gaining 1 pound a week throughout the whole pregnancy, just as the doctor ordered.
Symptoms? Nothing new, just the back and rib cage pain at times.
Food cravings? Won't turn down sweets, especially cupcakes

Missing anything? Not really
Sleeping? No complaints...still sleeping through the night.
Belly button popped? The top of the belly button is starting to stick out a little bit.
Feeling any movement? Yep! Has gotten stronger over the last week.  Jason can feel Baby B now!
Swelling? Haven't noticed any
Emotions? In check most of the time, though I still think I could cry on command
Best moment this week? Jason being able to feel Baby B and putting the crib together
Working out? Few walks...the heat and smoke from the fires kept things a more low key this week.
This Week's To Do? Finalized the nursery idea and hopefully get the stuff ordered (or at least get the color swatches ordered), Daycare visits and hopefully decision, 24 week Dr. appointment

Thursday evening Jason was able to feel Baby B and then a few more times throughout the weekend!  It is pretty awesome that Jason is able to feel the movements now, though Baby B seem to stop moving whenever Jason tries to feel them so he hasn't gotten to feel any really good ones yet, they have all been pretty slight.

We put the crib together on Friday evening.  It went together pretty easily.  It is kinda fun and werid to have a crib set up in the house!  Making it even more real now.

We are switching which room is going to be the guest room but need to patch & paint it before moving the bed into the room, it is currently very blue.  We picked out the paint color this weekend and will have it painted in a couple of weeks.  Once paint is done and the bed moved we can really start working on putting the nursery together.  We are planning on ordering most of the nursery stuff from Etsy and have what we want picked out just need to finalize the fabrics and we should be all set!  Pretty excited things are slowly but surely coming together. We are still amazing how much the baby stuff cost.  But getting it custom is not that much more than buying it at Target or Babies R Us and we get excactly what we want.

Jason rode in Denver Century Bike Ride on Saturday.  He started at 6:30am and was done by 2:15pm.  100 miles in less than 8 hours is great!  He was feeling good afterward too!  Now that he knows he can do the distance, he just needs to get a few training climbs in and he should be all set for the Triple By Pass (120 miles, 3 mountain passes in one day) in July.  I still think he is crazy!

Crossing the Finish Line!

Feeling good but glad to be done!

Babies R Us was having a 20% Friends and Family sale over the weekend with no major restrictions on items, so on Saturday evening we went to Babies R Us and bought our glider and BOB stroller. We also opened up a Babies R Us credit card and saved an addional 15%.  Figured might as well take advantage of the discount on the two biggest items we had on our registry. Plus, normally you aren't able to use coupons on the stroller, so that was a nice bonus.  The glider should come in next week!! The rest of the weekend was pretty low key.

I have my 24 week appointment on Wednesday and the oral glucose tolerance test.  Not really looking forward to drinking the sugar drink but hopefully all goes well and I won't need to get retested.
