Thanksgiving...sick little turkey

For the last 3 years we have done a Thanksgiving Day run.  It is a fun family activity and gets you up and moving before having that big Thanksgiving dinner.   We have gotten really lucky with having great weather and this year was probably the best weather year yet.  Jason and I were planning on just running a potion of it but ended up running the entire thing!  (I ran the whole thing pushing Braelyn in the stroller) It felt really good to get back running.  Though it definitely uses those abs running with the stroller.

After the run Krista, Jason, Braelyn, and I went back to our house to shower, get ready, and make our dishes to bring over to Colie's house.  Braelyn had a super LONG Nap.  She slept from 11:00am - 2:30pm! Clearly she wasn't feeling well.  She probably would have slept longer if we hadn't opened her door and was banging around a bit so we could get over to Colie's for dinner, we were already late.

Braelyn's nose was running quite a bit, she was very cuddly, and didn't want to be set down.  She also wanted her Nuk, which she typically doesn't get/want unless in the car or bedtime so we knew she was pretty miserable. Poor little turkey!!

Braelyn was ready for another nap around 4:00 which of course was right before dinner was ready so she didn't even get to eat Thanksgiving dinner with us.  :(

It was kinda nice not having to host but it also meant that we had to pack up and bring all of Braelyn's stuff over to Colie's.  It still amazes me how much stuff the kiddo needs for just a afternoon/evening out. Luckily Colie happen to have a pack-n-play so that was one less thing we needed.

Whole Family ready for dinner (minus Braelyn)

After Braelyn's nap we tried to give her some Thanksgiving dinner but she wasn't interested in easting at all and would only eat cuties....something is better than nothing.

My (Sick) Little Turkey
She managed to work up enough energy to play for a little bit but wasn't energetic about it at all.  We had been telling Colie and Krista that Braelyn was walking but she had NO interest in showing of her her skills.

After a little while Miss B found Tux's bed and curled up.  It didn't take long before she was asleep again.  It broke my heart to see her sick and miserable. But she did look pretty cute sleeping on the comfy bed.

Had to get a family picture even though B was not interested in smiling at all.

After her 3rd nap of the day she was a little more willing to play but it didn't last too long.

We got our sick little turkey's PJs on, gave her some Tylenol and Jason and Braelyn headed home about 8:00pm.  Hoping she will get a good night sleep and will feel better tomorrow.

Mema, Krista, Colie, and I went down to Castle Rock to the outlet mall for some Black Friday deals Colie had to work in the morning (and we were all pretty tired) so we were heading home by midnight.
