Eating 3.5oz bottle every 2.5-3 hours during the day, nursing every 2-2.5 hours after work, 6 hours at night
Sleeping: Constantly 6 hours at night, a couple 20-30 min naps and one 1+ hour nap during the day - though the end of this week was inconsistent due to being congested and traveling to Iowa
Typical Daycare Day: Wakes up at 4:00am to eat, back to sleep until Jason wakes her at 6:30am to get ready for daycare, drop off at daycare at 7:00am, 4 bottles and 3-4 naps at daycare, Mommy picks up around 4:30pm, playtime at home, goes to sleep around 7:30/8pm, all go up around 9:00pm, change into PJs, story time, night feeding, and in bed for the night by 9:30pm. (we need to get better about getting her PJs on and doing the bed time routine before she falls sleep the first time but also don't want to miss out on playtime or the 9:00pm night feeding/cuddle time)
Typical Nondaycare Day: Same as before
Typical Nondaycare Day: Same as before
Development: Grabs and holds on to things, smiles all the time at everyone - such a little charmer, chewing on her fingers (teething already?!!? hope not), very snuggly, started to do the shy smile - smile and then look away or hide her face in your shoulder, So cute!
Braelyn was down 1oz from last week. :-/ Not really sure what is going on. She ate a little more than 3.5oz at group so we decided to up her bottles to 3.5oz and will ask daycare to try to give her 4 bottles instead of just 3 like she had been getting. Hopefully that will help. Though she is happy and not fussy so if I wasn't going to group every week and weighing her I wouldn't know any better. So I'm not worrying too much about it right now. If she starts to not be a happy baby and isn't gaining like they say she should then I'll maybe start worrying. Otherwise we will just wait and see what the Dr says at her 4 month appt.
Her hands are constantly in her mouth but over the weekend she was actually chewing on her fingers more than just sucking on them and she was drooling quite a bit. Hopefully, she is just discovering her hands and it doesn't mean she is teething already!!
Braelyn got her first cold this week - awful little baby cough and stuffed up nose. :( When we picked her up from daycare on Thursday night Ms. Sarah said that she had a bark like cough mostly when she was sleeping. Since we were heading to Iowa on Friday I called to Dr. just to check in. They were of course closed already but I talked to the triage nurse and she suggested that if Braelyn had a bark like cough we should go to urgent care because it could be croup which gets worse the 2nd night (we had heard her cough a few times the night before). I called Jason and we decided to take her to urgent care since we were leaving in the morning for Iowa. I got her in the carseat and was ready to meet Jason at urgent care when she started getting really upset and I realized she needed to eat. As I was feeding her I realized that she was able to cry and get quite upset and not cough and if it was croup she wouldn't be able to do that and her temperature was normal. I called Jason back and we decided to wait on going to urgent care and just monitor her since she wasn't coughing consistently, didn't have a fever, and was still in a good mood. Before bed we steamed up the bathroom and sat in there with her for a while and set the humidifer on high. She slept good Thursday night and was smiley and still did not have a fever in the morning. She still had a cough but it sounded more like a really congested cough than a barking cough. Which just broke Mommy's heart hearing the little cough. But she continued to stay in great spirits and never seemed too affected by the cough. She would even cough in her sleep but stay sleeping. We continued to steam her in the morning and before bed which seemed to help a lot. She is still congested today with a bit of a cough but is much better than she was on Thursday. Glad she is starting to feel better but still breaks my heart! Poor little girl!
Friday (1/17) morning we finished packing up our stuff, met Daddy downtown, and headed to the airport to catch out flight to Iowa for the weekend! Braelyn did great on the flight once again! We were a little worried how she would do since she was congested but she didn't seem affected by it at all. She sure is a great little traveler!
Mema, G-pa, and Colie picked us up from the airport and we headed over to Nana & Papa's. They were SOO excited to meet Braelyn. Braelyn gave Nana a Huge smile which Nana of course Loved!
We were planning on staying with my cousin Carrie, Josh, and their son Sawyer (6 months older than Braelyn) but Josh called right when we were getting to Nana & Papa's to say that Carrie had the stomach flu, so we ended up staying at a hotel for the weekend. Such a bummer, as we were really looking forward to seeing Carrie and Josh and having the babies together. Stupid sickness never comes at a good time!
We went out to dinner with Nana, Papa, Mema, G-pa, and Colie for Colie's birthday and then we stopped at Target before going to the hotel to buy a pack-'n-play. Luckily Mema & G-pa don't have one at their house yet so they just took it home with them.

Braelyn was such a little charmer this weekend. She was smiling at everyone! Especially when meeting new people, she would have a huge smile for them, which of course made them love her even more. By the end of the weekend she started to do this shy smile though where she would start to smile and then turn away or hide her face in our shoulder. It was pretty cute! She also was very snuggley so we could tell she wasn't feeling 100% but we enjoyed the extra snuggle time.

On Sunday morning we went over to our friends Mark & Crystal's house for brunch which was fun to catch up. Then we headed over to Neil & Patty's for the baby shower for Braelyn & me.

After the baby shower we all watched football and hung out at Neil and Patty's. It was fun to catch up with everyone and Braelyn was such a great sport getting passed around to everyone.

It was such a fun weekend! Really wish we lived closer so we could see everyone more often!
Braelyn is definietly a Daddy's girl. It is amazing how quickly she will clam down for Jason no matter how upset she is. She definietly has him wrapped around her little finger already! My Uncle Neil seemed to have the same affect as well, must be something about guys - which made the Aunts a little jealous! :) Though hopefully she gets that out of her system before her teenage years!
