2 Month Memories:
Week 5:
* Started to spit up sometimes after eating. Didn't spit up and hardly burped the 1st month.
* Have a bit of baby acne around.
* Slept for 7 hours at night for the 1st time on 12/20!
* Not a fan of baths!
Week 6:
* You barely fit into newborn diapers or clothes. Once we finish the box of newborn diapers its on to size 1
* You like to sit straight up to be burped or if are fussy.
* Consistently sleeping 4-5 hour stretches at night
* You always looked very alert when you were awake. Much earlier than I remember Braelyn looking as alert but it might just be your big wide round eyes. We have some great pictures of open eyes of you even when you were only a few weeks old.
* Still have some pretty good neck rolls. Need to clean them out on a regular basis or they start to smell.
Week 7:
* Started sleeping in the pack n' play in our room at 7 weeks (1/4). Wanted to make sure you could sleep flat when we go to Iowa at the end of the month. Had no problem transitioning.
* Been sleeping consistently the last week 7+ hours. Mommy and Daddy enjoy the extra sleep.
* You are still such an easy going baby. You only fuss if you are hungry or tired.
* You are very predictable and it is very easy to figure out what you need.
* You had a successful bottle! You drank it right now with no issues. Mom didn't even have to leave the room.
* I noticed that you were not turning your head to the left around week 5. You kept your head to the right most often even in the resting position. We went to the chiropractor before Christmas and he said that you did have a little tightness but nothing super concerning. We should see some improvement but to come back in a couple weeks to have it checked again. We did not see any improvement so we made another appointment right after the New Year. He didn't find anything too wrong but was surprised we hadn't seen improvement so we went and saw the massage therapist. She did some CranioSacral therapy for almost an hour. That afternoon we noticed that you turned your head to the left! You have been turning you head to the left on your own, sleep with it turned sometimes, and even did tummy time looking left. You still favor your right side but not as much. We had a follow up appt and the therapist said you looked great. Only need to go back if you start to not turn your head again.
* You cry and fight sleep during the day. You have to be bounced, shhed, back patted, and walked around to fall asleep. You also prefer to be swaddled.
* Your hair is thinning out a bit but still have quite a bit.
* You love to kick, kick, kick!
Week 8:
* Everyone says you look like your Daddy!
* You slept for 8 hour last night!! (1/9)
* Still not a huge fan of baths. Though we have recently found that if we fill the tub up so you are more submerged in the water you can tolerate it more. Though you get really upset when we clean out your neck rolls* You like to spread out your toes but your little pinky toes curl under.
* You fall asleep about 45 mins after eating during the day.
* You are still sleeping quite a bit during the day. You are a much better napper during the day than Braelyn was - get at least one over an hour nap in the afternoon.
* We keep wondering how we got so lucky to get such a great and easy baby again!
*You have consistently been sleeping 7-8 hours at night the last week. Which Mommy and Daddy love! You cluster feed every 2 hours in the evenings though.
* 1st Smile!! (1/10) Mommy got a great picture of your smile
* After your 1st smile I couldn't get another one out of you for a few days. Finally you let the cute smile out.
* Still favoring your right side but turning your head much more often.
* You look around so much and take everything in.
* You will sleep forever in your carseat.
* You are making a lot more cooing "talking" noises
* You do great with tummy time. You tolerate it for quite a while before fussying.
* Braelyn likes to do tummy time with you. She gets the pillow and mirror all set up and then lays down next to you. *Braelyn calls you "Baby ill-e-a"
* Braelyn still ADORES you! She asks where you are right when she gets up or get home from daycare.
* Braelyn likes to do tummy time with you
* We still wonder how we got so lucky to get another easy going wonderful perfect baby!
* Your Mommy and Daddy are very lucky and Love you SOOO much!
