1 month!

Weight: 9 lbs 12 oz (per Mom's group 12/16)

Height: 21.5" (per Mommy's measurements)
Hair: Dark brown - haven't lost any hair yet
Eye Color: Light Grey (Mommy is hoping for green)
Diapers: Newborn - but very soon will be moving to size 1
Clothes: newborn and some 0-3 months, though the newborns are starting to get pretty tight
Sleeping: 3-4 hours at night - starting to go to bed earlier and sleeping longer
Eating: Every 2-2.5 hours during the day, 3-4 hours at night, 6-10 mins a feeding, only eats on one side per feeding, still cluster feeds at night but not as long

Developments: Focusing and following with eye and started working on tummy time - have a pretty strong neck already

1 Month Memories:
1 Week:
* You are a good sleeper. Get up about every 3 hours to eat and then go right back to sleep.
* During the day you don't fuss at all. Will root a little when hungry but content unless we make you wait too long
* You do NOT like to be naked or get your diaper changed. You scream.
* You grunt quite a bit. We joke that you may not have had a breathing issue when you were born but that you just grunt when you cry. haha :)
* On Wednesday (1/18) you were up every 1-1/2 hours at night but otherwise you have gotten up every 3 hours or we wake you.
* You like to be stretched straight out more than Braelyn did. 
* You like to just be wrapped in a blanket. Braelyn liked to be tightly swaddled but you don't necessarily need to be.

* You lost your umbillical cord today (1/20)
* Your eyes are much lighter and you have more and darker hair than Braelyn
* Braelyn loves you SO much! She gets super excited when she sees you and likes to give you hugs and kisses. She is so gentle with you and gets worried where you are if she doesn't see you.
* You are such an easy baby! We are very lucky.
* You are a great eater.  You have a great latch and eat for about 8-15min (1) side.
* Sometime will eat, act done, and then 15 mins later decide you need a little top off before you are really done. 
* Don't really burp. Sometimes have little ones but no spit up at all yet.
* For some reason you don't photograph well. You are So much cuter than your pictures show.
* We tried to do newborn pictures yesterday (1/19). You took a while to fall asleep and then Braelyn was over it.  We were able to get your pictures done but are going back on Sunday to do pictures with both of you. 

2 weeks:

* My 1st day alone with you was 11/23. You did not want to be set down for most of the day. You could not settle and would only sleep for about 10-20 mins before fussing.
* Then that night was Not a good night! You were up crying until 3:00am. You just would not settle. 
* The next day you had a Big poop so I think you just had a tummy ache and that is why you were fussy.
* Mema and G-pa have been stealing lots of cuddle time with you. 
* You celebrated your 1st Thanksgiving. Though you pretty much slept though most of it! :)








3 weeks:

* You have 1 night a week that you fuss until 2:00 or 3:00am. It makes for a very tired Mommy and Daddy. But we are glad that is it only 1 night a week and not every night
* Grandma & Grandpa came to visit. They were so excited to meet you. And of course got in as many cuddles as they could.
* 12/10 was my 1st day with both girls alone. Both did really well. We went to gymnastics, baked banana bread, and went to the park. Kinda felt like a super Mom! :)

4 Weeks:

* 12/15 - slept "through the night" (10:45-4:20)

* Have been sleeping longer stretches, 4+ hours some nights.

* You are more comfortable with getting diaper changes/naked, don't cry a much

* Starting to track, love looking at lights and the monkeys on the bouncer and swing

* Like to be swaddled when tired. And now need to be more tightly swaddled than in the beginning.

* Still a little grunter, grunts when waking up or when hungry, don't really root

* Spread out your toes.

* You kinda have a grumpy resting face. Though I think that is partly b/c of your big (& cute) cheeks.
* Started do to some tummy time. You don't love it but don't hate it either.  You will tolerate it for a little bit

* You are a Great eater.  Except when Daddy tried to give you a bottle on 12/13 and you weren't a fan. In the end you ended up taking almost 2 oz but then you nursed immediately after for normal time.  Will have to try again.
* Mommy left you for the 1st time to get a much needed massage on 12/13. Minus not being a fan of the bottle you (and Daddy) did great.

* Braelyn Adores you!  She loves you so much! She gets SO excited when she sees you in the morning/home from school.  And loves to show you off and tells everyone about "MY baby sister" She is Very proud of you. It is absolutely adorable! 

* Braelyn loves to help as much as possible. Every diaper change she has to pick out the diaper and hand me a wipe.
* Whenever you start crying Braelyn says "Oh no! Baby sooo mad!"
* You are a very easy going baby. It is fairly easy to figure out what you need.
* You are already on a loose schedule. 
* You and Mommy went to Baby and Me yoga together. Mommy enjoyed it and you slept through it.

* Time is flying by!  The first few weeks went at normal speed but the last few have gone way too fast.
* I Love you so much!!  You and your sister give me so much joy! Being a Mom is the best job in the whole wide world!!
